Olympics curling controversy escalates as Britain accused of infraction

Описание: Olympics curling is facing a major controversy as Britain is now accused of the same ​infraction that has rocked the Canadian teams.

The issue centers on “double-touching” the curling stone after release, a violation that led to stones being removed from play.

The drama began when Swedish curler Oskar Eriksson accused Canadian Marc Kennedy, sparking heated reactions.

'I haven't done it once,' Kennedy shouted in a wild​ outburst that was captured on television. 'You can f* off,' he added.

Soon after, Canadian captain Rachel Homan faced similar allegations.

Now, British curler Bobby Lammie is under scrutiny after officials said he double-touched a stone in a match against Germany.

The British quartet ultimately came out on top in the round-robin clash - winning 9-4 - but one of Lammie's stones was removed.

Team GB captain Bruce Mouat did not appear to protest the decision.
