Once a thriving center of trade and culture during the 18th and 19th centuries, Syrrako is known for its traditional architecture, cobbled paths, and historical significance as the birthplace of important Greek figures, including poet Kostas Krystallis.

Built entirely from local stone and harmonized with its mountainous surroundings, the village offers a unique example of Epirus’ architectural heritage. Its isolation and elevation also played a vital role in preserving its character and resisting Ottoman influence during the pre-independence era.

Το Συρράκο είναι ένα από τα πιο αυθεντικά παραδοσιακά χωριά της Ηπείρου, χτισμένο εξολοκλήρου από πέτρα και σκαρφαλωμένο στα Τζουμέρκα. Με ιστορία ως εμπορικό και πνευματικό κέντρο, διατηρεί ακέραιη την αρχιτεκτονική και πολιτιστική του ταυτότητα.
