During the COVID-19 pandemic, with schools shut down, Damon revisited his love for barbering and attended barber school. This period marked a powerful synthesis of his two main passions: helping the special needs community and cutting hair.

Recognizing the difficulties traditional barbershops posed for those with sensory needs – the waiting times, loud noises, and unfamiliar environments – Damon conceived of "The Mobile Barber". This innovative service brings the barber directly to the client, removing many sensory triggers and anxieties. Starting as a free service based on donations, it ensured accessibility regardless of financial circumstances. The Mobile Barber quickly grew, serving 11 counties and providing over 600 haircuts in a single month. Damon's approach goes far beyond just cutting hair; he provides personalized care, taking time beforehand to understand each client's likes, dislikes, and sensitivities. He uses tools and techniques that are easier for clients to tolerate and spends time building trust, never rushing the process.

This dedication has led to deep and meaningful connections with his clients. A remarkable example is Taylor Wright, a 26-year-old on the spectrum who has been Damon's client for years. Their bond is so strong that Damon and his wife will become Taylor's guardians, continuing a tradition of going to Applebees after haircuts. Damon's entrepreneurial spirit didn't stop with the mobile service. He also opened "The Men's Lab Barbershop". While a physical location, it maintains the patient, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere of his mobile service. Despite its name, the shop welcomes many children as customers. The barbers are patient, and they even provide snacks for kids after haircuts. The Men's Lab is built on a family and community-based environment.

Damon faced challenges spreading the word and organizing his schedule for the mobile service and getting the physical shop open and finding barbers, but his perseverance allowed him to build two successful ventures. He successfully hired two reliable barbers he previously worked with. He continues to run both businesses while being a husband and father. Damon's work is not just about haircuts; it's about addressing a community need, demonstrating compassion and empathy, embodying local entrepreneurship, fostering inclusivity, and making a tangible difference in people's lives.
