This game is one of the first attempts at 3D hockey games. However, it never became as popular as NHL 97 on the SNES system. Also while Actua's soccer games were more popular at the time, I found this game more enjoyable than those games because much better soccer games came out in the mid-to-late 90s. The gameplay is fast-paced, and as you can see in this video, you can score some fantastic long-range goals.
