A screwdriver has a straight, balanced shaft and a heavy point, making it ideal for point-first sticking into a wooden target. It lets you practice the exact mechanics of no-spin throwing—grip, stance, release, and alignment—without worrying about ruining or losing specialized knives. Safe for beginners. Cheap and easy to find (almost everyone has one in their toolbox). Great for testing whether you enjoy no-spin throwing before buying real throwers.

Grip – Hold the screwdriver like a knife, with your thumb supporting the spine.
Stance – Square up with your target at a comfortable distance (start around 2–3 meters).
Release – Keep the motion linear, push forward, and let the screwdriver leave your hand smoothly—no wrist flicking.
Finger Control – Use your index finger to reduce unwanted spin.
