Remember that musicians are fickle and they want to be on a winning side.. Also momentum is the key. Dave Grohl is never going to struggle to find musicians to join The Foo's because of the momentum. While The Foo's are top of the tree its all relative and every step further forward you and your band is, the more attractive you become.

Use your skills whether thats creativity, leadership, organisational skills or just hard work to gain momentum on social media... If you have no guitarist then ask someone you know to come in the studio to perform on a record.. They wont say no trust me!

Make musicians feel like it's going to work with or without them and they will kick the door down in desperation to be a part of it!

Head hunt musicians and don't be lazy by asking your house mates to be in a band because its easier. Ask the question 'What do I need to do to get that girl in my band!'
