Final version track officially released on the covers album ''Thank You'' by Capitol-EMI on 4 April 1995.
The song was originally released as "Ball of Confusion (That's What the World is Today)" by The Temptations in 1970 on the Gordy (Motown) label.
It is among The Temptations' most covered songs, with other versions by the Neville Brothers, Tina Turner, Love and Rockets, Widespread Panic, and Anthrax, among others.
"Ball of Confusion" delves head-on into a strong political message. The lyrics list a multitude of problems that were tearing the world apart in 1970: the Vietnam War, racial segregation, drug abuse, crooked politicians, and more.
