Presented by 20th Century Fox, “Salzburg: Sight and Sound” (1965) is a scripted color travelogue film highlighting the “sights and sounds” of the Austrian city of Salzburg. Filmed from the perspective of Charmian Carr, who played Liesl in the film adaption of Roger and Hammerstein’s "The Sound of Music," the cameras follow along as Carr gets to know the city of Salzburg and prepares to film her big role. In addition to shots of 1960s Salzburg, the film features behind-the-scenes footage from the making of "The Sound of Music," including leading actress Julie Andrews in hair and makeup.
