This video shares step by step tips for adding cording or piping to a pattern when it's not included in the pattern and shows the finished muslin for the blouse of the 2026, first quarter outfit. Things learned include: the importance of setting up to piping to ensure sewing straight lines for top stitching, adding bias tape, be sure to match well and cut too long so as to not have to add more at the end.
This Easy blouse pattern included many good sewing tips which are quite helpful when learning to sew, but the gathering for the top of the garment requires a slow careful hand to match the lines and to repeat it exactly for each side.
