SCOPE CREEP! My pool project just keeps getting bigger and more expensive. It brings added meaning to the term "SUNK COST." Because my hole wasn't deep enough (hit too much rock) and I raised the level of the pool rim up, I now have to raise my patio about knee high above the rest of the yard. To level out the patio around my pool I am going to build a great, great wall and make Mexico pay for it. I dig the footing with a rented mini excavator and use crush-n-run gravel for my foundation, lay the block and back fill with clean gravel.
I am very happy with the Belgard Castlemanor blocks. I used Patomic color and only glued the top caps on. The wall was easy to install once the foundation was done and is very stable.
