Large multicell thunderstorm with huge updrafts, constant new cell development to the SW of the cluster, took on almost supercell traits at one point due to large storm relative inflow and at least some degree of streamwise vorticity ingestion. 30kts of deep layer shear was present for this storm, as well as CAPE of about 800-1000j/kg.
Rare crown flash can be observed as the shifting electric fields within the thunderstorm during lightning flashes cause ice crystals in the cirrus clouds above to suddenly change orientation, altering the path of refracted light.
Deep thunder audible, and a +25kA cloud to ground lightning strike can be seen.
