I caught this swarm in West Linn and its the biggest one yet and the perfect size for the maple log. I burned the cedar planks and screwed together but the bees welded the roof it to the log with propolis within 10 days. Left to do their work they can achieve a lot very quickly. Pretty amazing really.

Please consider keeping a log hive in your garden. I believe they have a better chance of surviving in logs.
