Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services is building a new state-of-the-art hospice designed to care for future generations.
Established in 1879, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services is a 200 bed facility providing specialist and loving care for those with a wide range of needs from rehabilitation to end-of-life care.
This person-centred care is provided on-site in Harold’s Cross and Blackrock Hospice as well as in people’s own homes across south Dublin. Just over 600 staff, 300 volunteers and one therapy dog work with patients and their families during difficult times. We help patients live with comfort, dignity and peace of mind, treating the person and not the condition.
During 2016, we cared for over 3,940 patients and residents, reflecting a 9% increase in patient numbers from 2015. Our teams undertook over 12,300 specialist palliative homecare visits, a 48% increase in demand since 2010.
