Stop using Silicone Spray to install hoses and lines

The problem with silicone is that it never fully dries, so depending on what you're working with, that can be a bad thing. For example, when installing a coolant hose, you want it to go on easily but stay on tight. Silicone will make it easier to come off later, which isn’t ideal. Glass cleaner evaporates, so the hose slides on smoothly but stays put.

Another reason to steer clear of silicone sprays is they can mess with your engine sensors if they get on them, especially your MAF and O2 sensors.
