So during the latest episode, season 2 episode 6 oops we find out that blitz accidentally set fire to the circus him and fizz worked at. The fire lit some fireworks as well leading to fizz losing his limbs and blitz getting his signature face scar.

Some fans were confused that they were injured by the fire, since in episode 1 blitz said imps are immune to fire. The answer to this is that imps are immune to fire from the human world, but can be injured by hellfire.

In hell fire is special and the colour of the flames corresponds to the ring it’s on. So in the lust ring, fire is a blue colour, in wrath its a red colour and in greed it’s green.

This explains why the pair were injured during the trajedy.
