Some people develop hyperpigmentation on the neck. It looks like a dark band on the neck.
The various causes of dark neck are :
• Acanthosis Nigricans
• Dermatitis Neglecta
• Lichen planus pigmentosis
• Riehl's melanosis
• Post inflammatory
Hyperpigmentation due to an
allergy to metal or perfumes.
• Pityriasis Versicolor (fungal )
Remedies for dark neck :
• Check for hormonal balance
• Weight loss
• Check insulin levels
• Check blood sugar levels
• Check thyroid function
• Test for PCOS
• Topical and Systematic antifungals
• Avoid cosmetics / perfumes / hair dyes
Treatments :
