What if much psychological suffering arises from deeply convincing misperceptions created through thought?

Jørgen uses the analogy of a nightmare. When you are inside the dream, everything feels real and urgent. But the moment you wake up, the whole experience changes instantly. Nothing external had to be fixed. What changed was simply seeing clearly what was happening.

The Psychological Illusion Model suggests that something similar can occur in everyday psychological experience. People can become absorbed in thought-generated realities that appear completely real in the moment. When that illusion is seen clearly, experience can sometimes shift naturally.

In this video Jørgen explains how the model combines insights from hypnosis, changework, meditation traditions, and psychology to help people recognise the illusions behind much psychological suffering.
