This was one of my worst (if not the worst) landing I've ever made, all due to not reading what was in front of me. (but the entry is so complex due wind on botanical influences)
The high trees caught me first... then the high sugar cane cutting produced something I was not expecting.
My Plane (Sling TSi) got slammed. And I didn't know why... Until I reviewed the video.
Can't let that happen again, but while I'm practicing the exact same circumstance as last weekend, I should be more focused on:
Indicated Wind Direction & Speed
What will be my proximity to Tall items throughout the approach.
What is the likely effect of the strong wind on those items.
