Visiting An Old Ship Graveyard - WWI era ghost fleet ships near Baltimore!

Описание: Visiting An Old Ship Graveyard - Shipwrecks on Curtis Bay near Baltimore, Maryland. This ghost fleet of old ships also includes a concrete or ferro-cement ship that was probably built in 1918. In this video we take a kayaking adventure trip to Curtis Creek in Maryland near Baltimore City to get a close look at some abandoned, scuttled and rotting 100 year old wooden sailing ships. Some of these ships were built in the 1800s and some were built for World War One early in 20th century. All of these old ships are now sinking in the mud near Baltimore and have become more of a habitat for wildlife than much a visible structure.

I checked several websites, videos and other resources to try to find out the exact names and dates for these ships but found very conflicting information with regards to the names and exact dates these ships were built and ultimately left here to rot away. All sources to seem to indicate that these ships were placed here before the 1940s.

Some of the ships that may be here include:
⚓️ A three-masted schooner named William T. Parker, sometimes called the Flying Dutchman of Baltimore which seems to have several stories including drifting unmanned from North Carolina to Maine in 1915
⚓️ A four-masted ship named Katherine May that was supposedly set here in the 1930s
⚓️ The concrete hulled ship might be the USS Dover (cited by one source) or the Marshall I. Ludington or the Gibson (cited by a different source)
⚓️ Three WWI freighters named Fort Scott, Dover, and Ashland (I doubt there's two ships named "Dover" here)
⚓️ Also supposedly some barges, a tug and a gambler's yacht

We took our kayaks here and I DO NOT suggest or recommend that others kayak in these waters. This area has been historically known for having a lot of pollution and unsafe water for swimming or fishing. In addition, these old shipwrecks are dangerous with sharp rusting metal above and below the water as well as other dangers in the area.
