Описание: So here's a session where I finally tried my smallest foil downwind. Starting to work out when the conditions are best at walkers rock near Elliston, loves a full S seabreeze, no east, little swell, and honking 30+ knots, and outgoing tide then the wind swells really stack up. This day was that good, I decided to have a go with my chopped @axisfoils3588 1001 .... it's now 840 span and about 760cm2 and coming from the Artpro stable it's pretty low camber and has a terrible low end, which is fine for winging and even sup foil in decent waves, but I thought not a thing for DW. So pleasantly surprised that not only was it possible it was actually functional once id relaxed into it and worked out the stall speed. Interesting how my mental map of the bumps ahead shifted within a couple of minutes to accomodate the longer range offered by the extra speed and momentum offered by such a fast foil. And the reduced span makes turning the thing much easier than my 951. Even #parawinging back was not too difficult, the challenging at times especially switch. Had my unchopped 45 skinny on, but will try the chopped (300) skinny next time..... All in all opened my eyes to new possibilities especially in bigger ocean bumps. Im not sure that id be able to paddle this up, so parawing only at this stage. @oesaustralia @ozonewing #dwfoiling #parawing #foilbrained
