I’ve been quiet for a few weeks… but for a good reason. 😎 Here’s what I’ve been building:
🏙️ Modular Grid Block City
Fully editable city system using grid blocks.
Quickly customize streets, buildings, and props without heavy open-world levels.
Optimized streaming for smooth performance and memory efficiency.
Perfect for watching my lonely character explore, wander, and enjoy the city.
🚗 Vehicles with Full C++ Control
Created a custom vehicle class from scratch.
Tuned Chaos Vehicle physics for realistic driving.
Vehicles fully configurable via Data Tables.
Player can enter, exit, drive, and take long rides, with scenic spots like a beach — giving my character some long, contemplative rides.
🪑 Sitting in Chairs with Motion Warping
Players can now sit in chairs.
Using Motion Warping to handle animations and transform locations dynamically.
Makes interactions much smoother and more realistic — no awkward offsets or popping.
🛠️ Why it matters
Everything — player, vehicles, environment — interacts seamlessly.
Modular and data-driven design makes iteration fast and gameplay more immersive.
And it’s oddly satisfying seeing a single character roam the city, take a ride, sit down, and just exist in the world I’m building.
