Is This the Best LE Sniper Course? – Law Enforcement Sniper Skills Clinic Review

Описание: We've been cranking on our LE Sniper Skills Clinics this year! We wanted to take a different approach with the progression in training, and what that progression was called.

Say that it's semantics, but we don't really prefer the use of the word "Advanced" when it comes to discussing shooting skills. Sure, there's a lot of courses out there that tout their course as advanced, but what does that really mean? What's the baseline? Because I can tell you with certainty in the LE sniper world, there is no national standard.

The LE Sniper Skills Clinic is a shooting course. Aside from a few administrative lectures, we're focusing on hard skills over the course of three days. We're focusing on bringing modernized marksmanship mechanics with a precision rifle to the law enforcement sniper community. The course is designed to accommodate any skill level - we meet you where you're at and then work with you to enhance those skills. Ultimately, we're here to show you how to train to have more mental bandwidth to process other cognitive loads in a shorter amount of time. We're here to help you build strong neural pathways with your rifle so you can be an effective force-multiplier on whatever crisis site you find yourself at.

Day one we're focused on talking about your rifle and how it connects to you. We start that off with fitting your rifle to you using those modernized marksmanship mechanics we discussed earlier. We want you to have an intimate connection with your rifle - you shouldn't be fighting it. At all. We spend all day working foundational drills that isolate specific fundamentals of marksmanship, highlighting gaps and reinforcing the foundation.

Day two we're talking about deeper shots, and spending some time teaching officers the effectiveness of a ballistic computer program to get bullets to hit targets on the first shot, without guessing. We then talk about all the dogma that surrounds the technicality of deeper shots, debunking all the myths such as atmospherics and changing locations affecting your 100 yard zeros. After that, we're working tripods and alternate shooting positions, teaching you how to tame your wobble and get stable, fast.

Day three we're bringing in some more technical topics Rapid Engagement Techniques and Obstacle Clearance. (Yep, it's "Loophole Theory, and no, it's not classified.) All of these topics surround the importance of the officer being familiar with where their bullet is in relationship to the line of sight, at all points on it's way to the target. You can't stop a threat without the bullet getting to it first.

We wrap up day three with a short but comprehensive evaluation to show you where you're at after 3 days of shooting instruction.

Our goal? Maximize every minute you have afforded to you in this training package so you can come away from it knowing clearly what your limitations are. We feel it's more important for you to be very clear on your limitations, rather than be pushing your capabilities when it really counts.
