Описание: Phil Penman is a highly acclaimed British-born, New York-based photographer renowned for his extensive documentation of New York City’s streets over the past 25 years. His career as a news and magazine photographer has seen his work featured in prestigious publications such as The Guardian, The Independent, and The New York Review of Books. Penman has captured images of significant public figures and historical events, most notably his coverage of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. His powerful reportage has been showcased on NBC’s Today show, the BBC, the History Channel, and Al Jazeera, and his photographs are preserved in the 9/11 Memorial and Museum’s archives.

Penman also documented the pandemic lockdown in New York City, with this work being acquired by the U.S. Library of Congress, joining the ranks of legendary documentarians like Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange. His street photography has been exhibited in Leica galleries in cities including New York, Washington, D.C., Boston, and London, as well as in international exhibitions in Venice, Berlin, and Sydney.
