More tips:
If possible, have 12 bars of power unused (for ships with 25 reactor power). This makes the ion storm pull power from your spare reactor instead of potentially dragging them out of critical systems.
You only need 2 shield layers up for adequate protection against Suns, Asteroids, and Pulsars. The best case scenario would be a Director/Director Technopath/Overclocked Peacekeeper in Shields.
You could use clone bay if you have a Doctor/Surgeon drone keeping your crew topped up.
Be careful of the Harpies, they prevent your crew from teleporting and prevent them from healing. Sylvans will be able to beat the first two Harpies in combat since the first wave only has two of them. You just need to be careful of any subsequent wave piling 3-4 Harpies in a single room.
Hacking Teleporter only works if:
You do not have an active super shield
You are not cloaked
None of your crew are MCed
If you need to hack Teleporter to clean out the invasion, make sure you adhere to the conditions listed above.
As mentioned in the video, taking down weapons is your 1st priority. Not only can they deal system damage, pierce 4 shields and cause breaches, but they also prevent any crew struck by the beam from repairing, manning, and using abilities. Sylrick getting hit by this could be disastrous since you can't recover.
The artilleries deal a fair chunk of system damage, but fortunately, they're rather inaccurate. They're not too fast either, so you can use a defense drone to shoot down a couple of the mines. Though the best plan is to not let them fire in the first place.
Magnetic Payload is a suboptimal replacement for Disruption Field. With no O2 and 6 people in the teleporter, the fire will get put out very quickly and they only need to repair 1 bar before they teleport over. The only use for Payload would be to stop them from boarding as soon as the fight starts, allowing you to pre-cloak.
It's also a suboptimal replacement for Auto-Pilot Scrambler since Auto-Pilot Scrambler can't be removed and is permanent. Use Magnetic Payload only if you can't obtain either Disruption Field or Auto-Pilot Scrambler.
Do not get hung up on knocking down drone control unless the spawns are causing too many issues (you'll likely have bigger problems at this point). Her has 14 power in drone control which equates to 8 buffer points (as each spawn only requires 1 power). Furthermore, the 3 spawns sitting in drone control each have 3x repair speed, which means that any attempts to smite drone control won't be effective unless you can outpace their repairs or knock down the entire system in one volley. With your chosen medical system, you should be able to stall out the spawns. The biggest concerns are still the Things + TOWR and Her's weapons/artilleries.
Clone bay might be worthwhile to knock down later on in the fight if too many Things have duplicated. Even if you stun them to death, they'll all regroup on Her's ship and could result in speeding up their repair process.
(There were a lot more tips than I originally planned for to be in the description. I wasn't sure how I would incorporate all of them into the video without bloating it and straying from the main build elements, so they'll remain here)
