How to fill wheat grains after wheat crop plants lodging:
Wheat lodging decreases wheat grains yield but yield losses are high when crop is at grains filling or milking stage. Yield losses are minimum or negligible when wheat crop has completed grains in spikes or when grains development stage is finished. Early grown wheat fields are safe after lodging due to rains, wind, thunderstorm etc. We can say 125 days wheat crop is nearly at safe side. Grains filling can be enhanced by foliar spray of potash potassium sulphate or potassium nitrate @ 2 kg per acre after wheat crop lodging. Katalyst or K leaf can also give best grains yield.
Farmers should mix fungicide in potassium in December sown crop. Tilt, nativo, amistar top are good broad spectrum fungicides.
Amino acids use after wheat lodging is also good practice which will recover wheat plants after wheat lodging due to wind, thunderstorm, hailstorm, rains etc.
