Ingredients:
2 chicken leg pieces, skin removed
2 tablespoon (dahi) plain yogurt
2 tablespoon (pyaz) crushed onions
1 tablespoon (adrak lehsan) ginger garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin (zeera) Powder
1 teaspoon coriander (dhania powder)
1 teaspoon chilli flakes (Kuti lal mirch)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder (lal mirch)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder (kali mirch)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric (haldi powder)
1 teaspoon Salt (namak) OR to taste
1/2 teaspoon food color
1 teaspoon tikka masala
1 teaspoon chaat masala
2 teaspoon lemon juice
Lemon wedges and fresh mint leaves, for serving
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt, tikka masala and chaat masala.
Make deep cuts on the chicken legs and marinate them in the yogurt mixture. Cover for at least 2 hours.
Place the chicken legs in the steamer basket and steam for about 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
Once the chicken legs are cooked, remove them from the steamer basket and let them cool for a few minutes.
Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat.
Place the chicken legs on the grill pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely charred.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce. Enjoy!
