Cardinality definition
Cardinality is defined by the number of unique items in a group or set. If set Z = {1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} it will mean it has a cardinality of 6. If set Z2 = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} it will mean it has a cardinality of 8.
Cardinality annotation
The cardinality is denoted by the modulu s ‘|’ symbol surrounding the set label. If set Z = {1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}, then the cardinality of Z or |Z| will be 6. And if set Z2 = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} then |Z2| will be 8.
