Indiana Street House is a 2,060-square-foot modern infill home designed and built by Studio 804 in Lawrence, Kansas. Positioned on a narrow lot between two century-old homes, the house lifts its main living spaces to the second floor to maximize daylight, privacy, and views. Supported by steel columns and nestled among mature trees, the home integrates passive design strategies such as overhangs, operable windows, and high-performance glazing. With sustainable materials like Fundermax siding, maple wood, and Richlite panels—all crafted by architecture students—the project demonstrates a thoughtful balance of design, education, and environmental responsibility.
