This is my first long-form, unscripted video. I wanted to speak—honestly—about who I am, where I come from, and why I’m doing this now. I grew up Black and Southern Baptist in a small town in Missouri. Church shaped my discipline, my sense of community, and my understanding of endurance. Decades later, living in Europe, I find myself missing Black American presence, church rhythms, and the quiet ways we learn to carry one another. This video is about faith, diaspora, racism, discipline, insomnia, early mornings, and learning how to keep going. If you’re navigating identity, displacement, or simply needing a familiar voice, you’re welcome here.
