Making eBooks with Sigil

Описание: http://digitalbookmaestro.com - Sigil is an application for Mac, Windows and Linux for making ePub books. You edit directly the html fils in the ePub document and it works pretty good for making Electronic Books. This video is the first steps to take in making the ebook. Getting some text in there and setting up the meta data for the book.

I test what I was doing in the editing by opening up in iBooks on the iPad and I like that I am working right in the ePub and not just doing an export out of an app or using a converter.
Sigil is not perfect for everyone though as you do need to know the basics of html to do some operations. Still, the application has some nice features that mean it is a good application to learn on whatever platform you work on.

Sometimes what you need is a standard ePub and not the document that you get out of iBooks Author and Sigil fits the bill.
