With immense pride, we unveil aTIC-India (artience Technology and Innovation Centre-India) to be established in collaboration with Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. This is first of such kind R&D centre of artience group outside Japan, designed to create solutions that are rooted in Indian realities yet benchmarked against global standards.

Why aTIC-India?
For years, packaging and allied industry in India has relied on imported solutions. As a late entrant in this industry, Toyo Ink India began its journey by importing and selling products. But instead of seeing this as a disadvantage, we turned it into our strength. Being last allowed us to listen, learn, and adapt — and to recognize what India truly needed: research done in India, for India.

This vision led us to Bengaluru — India’s innovation capital and home to the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Partnering with IISc has enabled us to build a centre that combines scientific excellence with industry relevance.

The Story Behind the Name
When it came to naming this new centre, we invited suggestions from across the organization. Out of more than 100 ideas, our jury selected the name aTIC-India. What makes it even more special is that it was proposed by a member of our very own Toyo Ink India(TIID) team, symbolizing the spirit of collaboration and ownership that defines this journey.

What aTIC-India Stands For
aTIC-India is more than a research facility — it is a mission hub. It focuses on:
• Molecular level material research tailored for India’s unique needs.
• Warfront R&D for packaging and printing technology.
• Researching and developing sustainable, scalable, and affordable solutions.
• Bridging the gap between local challenges and global benchmarks.
From the land of IISc, for the markets of India, and for the needs of tomorrow, aTIC-India is built to create impact that lasts.
