Описание: “Harlan” is a song I wrote while driving through eastern Kentucky. I was headed to Chattanooga in my uncle’s 1987 Ford Bronco II, and decided to take the long way (I kept seeing the words of a poem by Robert Frost, “The Road Not Taken,” ingrained into my memory from a poster on the wall of my 8th grade English teacher.) I passed a sign labeled “Harlan, 31 Miles” and immediately began writing this song in my head, singing it repetitively and adding lyrics as I went. There’s no chance to write words down when you’re shifting gears in the mountains! It was the most beautiful day of my life to that point, and I hope this song inspires others to take the road less traveled.
