SD40 Cab ride "Part I", Escalante Western. Pewitt-Lee Ranch, NM. April 2001

Описание: The trip was set up a year in advance. We arrived at the Prewitt Power plant guard shack at 5:30 in the morning on April 22, 2001. There, the foremen from WFA picked us up there. After signing releases, they drove us to the power. Three ex-C&O SD40's. WFA-1, WFA-2, WFA-3, and 53 empty hoppers to load on the Santa Fe Lee Ranch branch.

This trip is the start up, leaving Prewitt, and part of the trip to the loader. We were traveling a good bit of the trip with the sun mostly in our face. I will more than likely, post a Part 2, with the return trip loaded, from pulling threw the loader at Lee Ranch, to pulling threw the rotary dumper at the Power Plant.
