State Opening of Parliament

Описание: State Opening marks the formal start of Parliament’s working year. His Majesty the King will open Parliament by reading the Speech from the Throne in the House of Lords chamber. The Speech is written by the government and contains an outline of its policies and proposed legislation for the parliamentary session.

State Opening is the only regular occasion when the three parts of Parliament – the Sovereign, the House of Lords and the House of Commons – meet.
