We are starting a new series on “ACTIVATING YOUR ANGELS”.

We need to know and understand our part that we play concerning the activity of angels.

Some of the subjects were going to be going over in the series are:

1. Giving more attention to the subject of Angels.
2. What angels are really like.
3. Classes of Angels.
4. What do angels do?
5. Angels take us places.
6. Our authority with angels.
7. They are waiting on you.

Today we are talking about:
What are Angels really like?

2. What angels are really like. Continued....

Angels are servants.
Our key scripture on this subject is

Hebrews 1:13-14
NLT 13 And God never said to any of the angels,
“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand    until I humble your enemies,    making them a footstool under your feet.”
14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

Believers have been given this inheritance, not angels.

What are Angels really like:

Last week we talked about 3 -
1. First of all, angels are created beings.

2. Angels have specific purposes.

3. Angels operate in the unseen realm.

Today we are going over 5 more:
4. Angels have names.
Something else to know about angels as they each one has a name.

Hebrews 1:4 (NKJV)
4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they (The Angels).

For Jesus name to be more excellent, all the angels would have to have names for the name of Jesus to be compared to. For example, the names of the angels of Gabriel, Michael, and Lucifer are some names that were given in the scriptures to identify angels.

5. Angels experience joy.

Luke 15:10 (NKJV)
10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

This would indicate the angels have the ability to experience a certain level of emotions or feelings.

6. Angel speak languages.

1 Corinthians 13:1 (NKJV)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

7. Angels can communicate with us, and also to one another.

Zachariah 3:6-7 (NKJV)
6 Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, 7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: (speaking for God)
‘If you will walk in My ways,And if you will keep My command,Then you shall also judge My house,And likewise have charge of My courts;I will give you places to walkAmong these who stand here.

Isaiah 6:2-3 (NKJV)
2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said:“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”

These particular angels were communicating with one another.

Revelation 14:18-20 (KJV)
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

8. Angels are holy.

Mark 8:38 (NKJV)
38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.


Acts 10:22 (NKJV)
22 And they said, “Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you.”

The elect angels walk in holiness before God, and carry out their assignments on earth as holy beings, (holy creatures)
