In this Modern Web Development flex-paced course at MyFunScience, students learn how to design and build real websites and web applications from the ground up. The course begins with HTML and CSS, the core languages that control the structure, layout, and style of the web, and then moves into JavaScript, the programming language that adds interactivity like buttons, animations, and dynamic content.

This course focuses on frontend web development—what users see and interact with on the screen—while using pre-built backend solutions so students can focus on creativity, problem-solving, and writing clean, understandable code without becoming overwhelmed.

Unlike a traditional live group class, this course is flexible but not hands-off:
• Students can start at any time during the year
• Move faster than a traditional semester if desired
• Receive weekly one-on-one support from an experienced teacher
• Learn through short, focused lesson videos (3–8 minutes each)
• Immediately apply concepts through hands-on projects

Students meet with the teacher at least once per week to review progress, ask questions, and confirm understanding. Additional meetings can be scheduled for students who want to move faster or need extra support.

The curriculum is custom-designed for MyFunScience students and recorded by professionals with over 20 years of experience in web development and programming. Students don’t just follow tutorials—they learn how to think like developers, understand why things work, and troubleshoot when they don’t.
