Patrice Holloway was a popand soul singer-songwriter in the 1960's and 70's. She and her older sister, Motown artist Brenda Holloway, sang background vocals for many other artists, including Joe Cocker;s cover of the Beatles song "WIth A Little Help From My Friends". Patrice also co-wrote 'You've Made Me So Very Happy', which was a No. 3 hit for Blood Sweat & Tears in 1969.
In 1970, Patrice became the singing voice for Valerie, a character in the television cartoon series "Josie And The Pussycats". Although she was not the lead character "Josie", it was her lead vocal on the show's theme song. After the first season, Patrice became a solo artist.
In 1971 she released a single called "That's The Chance You Gotta Take", with the song "Evidence" as the B-side.
