Описание: The Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina) is a long-lived terrestrial species found throughout the Eastern United States which is classified as vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Our group has been conducting a radiotelemetry and capture-mark-recapture investigation of the species in the northeastern Piedmont region of Georgia since 2013, and we have learned a lot about how these turtles are using their habitat, what they have been eating, and other interesting facts that we would like to share with the public. We would like to share this knowledge about turtles in general, as well as the Eastern Box Turtle, and inspire more people to be involved in conservation activities in this area.
