Today we’re restoring a pool at a senior living apartment complex where black algae has taken over the tiles. At first glance the pool looks clean — but once we got closer, we realized the algae was embedded deep into the surface.
Black algae is one of the hardest forms of algae to remove. Chlorine alone won’t solve the problem. We had to acid-wash the tiles, scrub aggressively, and follow a full restoration process to bring this pool back to life.
