OmegaT is a free open source, Java-based CAT tool available for Windows, Mac and Linux. This video shows how to translate a Word document from scratch in OmegaT 4.0.1 (latest version as per October 2016). A project is created. Sample bilingual terminology from an Excel sheet is exported (as Unicode text) to OmegaT’s glossary subfolder. A TMX translation memory is added to the TM subfolder. The document is translated interactively, using such features as auto-completion, concordance search and on-the-fly adding of terminology. Finally, the translated document is created.
