Easy Blue Shabby Vintage Handmade Card Tutorial

Описание: Rustic shabby designs are a favourite for many crafters and card makers, especially as they can be used for all occasion cards. I love the distressed pastel colours: blues, pinks, pale greens, teal and creamy beige etc.

You can easily create a similar design to this one by using any colour scheme of your choice, with any embellishments.

The flowers used in this tutorial are by Little Birdie. I used the pink flower to draw out the pink shades of the backing paper.

1) Choose your two Co-ordinated backing papers. Cover your card blank with the base one, then cut your second piece into four strips. I don’t measure when doing this as I prefer a more irregular design for handmade cards. The two bottom strips are both wider than the top two strips. If the paper is pattered like this one is, you can line it up to match the original design as i have done.

2) Distress, tear & scrunch the edges of the four strips & adhere with foam pads to raise your design.

3) Add your die cuts, embellishments & flowers, lace, ribbon or string, with a sentiment of choice.

I used chip board corner swirls/flourishes that I lightly coloured with a white acrylic paint pen, & two different sized wooden painted 'Love' sentiments.
