Cape Canaveral Air Force Station is an installation connected to early space exploration history. It is located close to Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This facility created the foundation of American Space History. The early rocket launches took place here. Both the Mercury and Gemini program missions started from this facility. This is also the location for the tragic fire with Apollo 1.
Cape Canaveral Air Force Station was renamed to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in 2020.
