In this talk, we will explore the potential of nanoscience in addressing these societal challenges. Our esteemed speaker, Professor Mazza, will present various examples of functional nanomaterials developed within the framework of the UNESCO Africa Nanochair. These include nanomaterials for room temperature decarbonization, water decontamination, smart windows and green air conditioning, as well as novel generation of nanofluids for heat management and energy efficiency.
