What are the criteria for the new UCIe specification？

Описание: UCIe™ - Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express™ - is an open industry standard created by leaders in semiconductors, packaging, IP vendors, foundries and cloud service providers to meet customer demand for more customizable package-level integration. The UCIe Alliance was formed to facilitate the development of an open silicon ecosystem by providing high-bandwidth, low-latency, energy-efficient and cost-effective on-package connectivity between chips.

Recently, the UCIe Alliance officially released the UCIe 1.1 specification, which extends the reliability mechanism to more protocols, supports a wider range of usage models, and enhances functionality for the automotive sector.

The UCIe 1.1 specification is fully backward compatible with the UCIe 1.0 specification and is now available to the public.

Highlights of the new UCIe 1.1 specification:
▶ Architecture specification enhancements enable compliance testing
▶ Simultaneous multi-protocol and full link-layer functionality to support streaming protocols
▶ Includes runtime health monitoring and remediation for automotive and high-reliability applications
▶ New bump mapping reduces packaging costs

With UCIe's platform, the giants will create a more complete and comprehensive Chiplet ecosystem, which now has over 100 members.
