Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney makes his way back to Ottawa Wednesday, after spending four days in Europe where he sought to diversify trade and strengthen both defence and security.
On Tuesday, Carney announced a three-year extension of Canada’s military mission in Latvia, where more than 2,000 Canadian soldiers lead a NATO mission known as “Operation Assurance.”
Carney spent the day visiting those troops Wednesday and, as Global’s David Akin reports, assured them more gear and more personnel are on the way.
