390 km/h, 5-sec Blown Plymouth Superbird Hemi Pro Mod: 1/4 Mile Runs at NitrOlympX 2025!

Описание: I've always found Pro Mods the ultimate and coolest drag racing cars. Yeah, they aren't the pinnacle of this discipline but their mix of sub-6 seconds performance and those absolutely stunning, stylish bodies make me fall in love every time I see one of them. This video is fully focused on the Plymouth Superbird of the Dutch team Voodoo Hemi Racing, led by Marck Harteveld who is also the driver of this car, and its runs down Hockenheimring dragstrip during Friday and Sunday of the 2025 NitrOlympX.

Pro Modified, also known as Pro Mod, have the external look similar to any road-legal car but, a part from the body, they are 100% pure-bred racing chassis moved by big V8 engines. In this category you could find 3 engine combinations: supercharged, turbocharged or "Nitrous-charged".
The output of these monsters can vary in a range between 2500 and 4000hp which allows to cover the 1/4 mile strip in high 5 to low 6 second passes and reach exit speeds near the 400 km/h (250 mph) mark.

Marck' Superbird is built around a Pro Mod chassis, covered by a full-carbon bodykit that recalls the 1970 Superbird. It's powered by a 521ci (8.5-liter) Hemi V8 engine by BAE Brad Anderson Enterprises with a Hammer supercharger on top of it. The engine is linked to a Lenco 3-speed transmission. The total weight of the car including the driver is under 1,200 kg.

After an amazing semifinal against Bruno Bader and his Corvette 'Gotham City', Marck Harteveld won a dramatic final after pulling a red light. The win would have gone to Jere Rantaniemi and his twin-turbo Pro Mod, but the Fin crossed the center line on his run and according the rules, was disqualified.
