Brutal US snowstorm sparks enormous 100-CAR PILEUP with cars sent careering off road

Описание: A BRUTAL snowstorm has caused chaos on a major highway as 100 cars pile up in a massive traffic smash.

Trucks jack-knifed and cars careered off the road as snow blanketed Michigan state.

The horror pile-up, just southwest of Grand Rapids on Interstate 196, saw 30 semi-trailer trucks and about 70 cars crash into each other in the icy Arctic conditions.

The tarmac could hardly be seen beneath the six-inch thick dumping of snow.

The near blizzard conditions made visibility extremely low and the road dangerously icy.
