Watching French TV shows is a great way to get better at understanding spoken French. But if you want to watch something that gives you an accurate, modern perception of French culture… let’s just say that some TV series are better than others ;) (I’m looking at you, Emily in Paris!)

If you’re someone who wants to explore France like a local, I want to introduce you to some of my favorite French TV shows for doing exactly that. I’ll explain how these shows give you a local perspective and, as a bonus, we’ll learn the proper pronunciation for some cities and regions in France that are covered by these programs.
