Amon G. Carter Football Stadium 🏟️ - TCU 🐸

Описание: This is Amon G. Carter Football Stadium on the campus of TCU in Fort Worth, Texas.

I was visiting back at the end of August in 2021 and this view from the exterior I found to be the most worthwhile location for grabbing pictures.
My only drawback from this angle was that for being here in late afternoon, I was looking into the sun which made for some glares.
For those college football enthusiasts out there I’d recommend coming here in morning time for more efficient looking picture opportunities.

The other side to Among G. Carter from where I was standing had good looks at the stadium but there wasn’t anything stating that this was Amon G. Carter. Granted, for the afternoon time the sun will be at your back but ultimately you do have to walk down a set of stairs and with the way the stadium was built it’s really hard to capture this place in its entirety with very little area to walk around.

This spot right here in the front entrance is obviously best suited for snapping photos.

For being a random Tuesday during the week it was relatively quiet without many students walking around so I was able to get this recording in with being “photobombed”, lol.

A worthwhile aspect about Amon G. Carter Stadium is that off to the left hand side there’s a plaza with statues of some of the all time TCU football greats.
In fact, they have a statue of former head coach Gary Patterson, who funny, during this video was the coach at the time but now writing this script….TCU was having a terrible season and Patterson and the athletic department decided to part ways.
Once again, Seth brings bad karma wherever he goes, lol, j/k.

Now inside Amon G. Carter…I was very surprised to find out that there weren’t any locks or gates prohibiting students, faculty or staff from just waking through. Especially myself being a total stranger…I couldn’t believe how fortunate I got to grab a perspective of the field from the inside.
I could only imagine how electric an atmosphere it would be to attend a game.
TCU has always been known for their quality football teams so if I ever I return here to Fort Worth during season I’d be thrilled to check out a football game.

Too bad they didn’t have the field lines painted or maybe the horned frog logo centered in the middle at the 50 yard line. That would have made for some memorable pics.
Still, I was quite satisfied with simply recording this angle of Amon G. Carter onto my phone and standing down by the 1st row of the field.
For me…I crave this kind of stuff…and also because I’m a big sports fan so to watch a TCU game on ESPN and then to actually step foot inside the stadium was pretty surreal for me!

Lastly, I actually spoke with a student and they told me this Amon G. Carter Stadium is in its 2nd year of existence.
I found most everything about this sports venue to be quite modern and a rather intimate setting for a major Big 12 school that’s part of the college football playoff.
In the end, it was exciting to be here.
