雄弁な沈黙と、鉄を打つ一打一打にすべての感情を封じ込めた、孤独な鍛冶師による「存在証明」の記録。
言葉による対話を拒絶し、火花と煙が立ち込める工房という名の檻に籠るその姿は、己の脆弱性を鋼の硬度へと昇華させることでしか、世界と対峙できなかった男の悲しい防衛本能に他ならない。

「失敗作だ」という拒絶の裏側で、念入りに施された細工には、決して口にすることのない祈りと罪悪感が刻印されている。
誰にも愛し方を教わらなかった魂が、熱せられた鉄を叩き、形を与えることで初めて、他者への関与を許容していく様を物語的に描出している。

この楽曲の核心は、報われることのない献身を刃に注ぎ込み、自らの傷さえも素材として鍛え上げていく、破滅的なまでの職人矜持にある。

最後のリフレイン「決してひとりじゃない」は、誰とも視線を合わさない彼の背中を、炉の炎だけが知っているという、静謐で過酷な救済の響きである。
